Case Study: NT Voice & Data

Since Van Elle was founded in 1984 and listed on AIM in 2016, Van Elle has grown to become the UK’s largest and most diverse ground engineering and geotechnical contractor. They undertake over 1000 projects a year and have built a reputation for delivering safe and innovative solutions and providing high-quality service to their customers.

The Group comprises expert teams that are able to design and deliver optimal techniques across a 120 string UK based rig fleet. Their breadth of capabilities spans open site piling, specialist and restricted access piling, modular foundation systems and a wide range of geotechnical specialisms across the infrastructure, residential and construction sectors.

The challenge

Van Elle was looking for a digital re-structure of their aging on-site server estate which would make daily operations faster, more flexible, and therefore improve productivity.

Some of the factors to consider was the power consumption on current servers, lack of chips for new servers, End of Life coming soon, capital expenditure of new servers, resilience, and security issues of current servers.

The solution
